Summer is swiftly approaching, and it ushers in one of my all-time favorite festivities – Independence Day on July 4th! The heart of summer, marked by brilliant sunshine and a break from work, always reminds me of collective celebrations, whether in a park or over a grill, culminating with the sparkle of fireworks.
Embracing the vibe of the upcoming sunny season and my fondness for the iconic red, white, and blue, I’m thrilled to present a special Patriotic Layered Smoothie recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen Banana
- 1 cup Vanilla Yogurt
- 1/2 cup frozen Cherries
- 1/2 cup frozen Blueberries
- 1 cup Acai Juice
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1 1/2 cup Ice
Steps to Whip Up a Patriotic Layered Smoothie:
- In your blender, mix 1/4 banana, 1/4 cup yogurt, 1/2 cup cherries, 1/2 cup acai juice, and 1/2 cup ice. Process until silky and pour into 3-4 glasses, ensuring the sides remain tidy. Chill in the freezer for about 30 minutes. This will form your vivid red layer.
- For the creamy middle layer, blend 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup milk, and 1/2 cup ice until smooth. Distribute this amongst the glasses, maintaining the glass’s neatness. Again, let it rest in the freezer for around 30 minutes.
- Finally, for the blue layer, blend 1/4 banana, 1/4 cup yogurt, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/2 cup acai juice, and 1/2 cup ice. Once blended to perfection, pour into the 3-4 glasses, taking care not to mess the sides. Let it sit in the freezer and serve when all layers are set and distinct. Enjoy!
